So,
is Miami Beach would be a prefect place for a beach wedding? The
answer is "not really". Let me explain you why.
It
starts from the South Point and goes a long-long way through the
East Coast. There are many hotels with direct beach access.
BUT that beach is not private. It is full of people
all year around and it looks like this (photo is taken from a
15th floor of Lowes Hotel). What to do?
Don't
worry, there are places in Miami and the Keys where you can have
your private wedding. A wedding right by the
ocean, feet in the sand, with cool breeze and calming weaves sound.
Best Locations
For Florida Beach Weddings
Cheeca
Lodge
(Islamorada) -
very popular wedding location at the Keys. If you dream about
informal wedding, romantic wedding pictures, this place may be
for you. Cheeca Lodge has a lot of picture opportunities with
tropical backdrop.
Crandon
Park (Key Biscayne) - you can have a private ceremony at Crandon
Park beach followed by a relaxed reception right across the street
at The Links Restaurant And Club or at Rusty Pelican Restaurant.
Rusty Pelican is famous for incredible Miami Skyline view.
Key
Largo Grande Resort & Beach Club, A Hilton Resort - is
also a perfect place for a medium size intimate wedding. They
have a small private beach and great Florida Keys style reception
rooms.
Miami
Beach Resort and Spa (Miami Beach) - will arrange a private
wedding on the beach with Atlantic ocean view. They have GORGEUS
reception ballroom. It is good for medium to large size weddings.
Morada Bay Beach Cafe (Islamorada) - is a great choice
for a small wedding of 30-50 people. Upscale location, excellent
food, relaxed atmosphere make this place perfect for a tropical
style wedding. Take advantage of a picture perfect place.
Pierre's Restaurant (Islamorada) - is one of my favorites.
It is a luxurious restaurant (next door to Morada Bay Beach
Cafe). I love their food, services, and the most important, I
love their location which is very popular for fashion photo shoots.
Ritz
Carlton (Key Biscayne) - an amazing wedding location with
beautiful ocean view. Have your wedding directly at the beach
or in the gazebo just above the beach level. If you can afford
Ritz Carlton consider this place.
Sonesta Beach Resort (Key Biscayne) offers a beautiful
private beach for destination weddings. It is a great ocean front
resort for romantic getaways.
In addition I recommend a few more "sandy beach" wedding
locations for you to explore:
Casa
Marina Resort Beach Club (Key West)
Little
Palm Island Resort And Spa (Little Torch Key)
Trump International Resort (North Miami Beach)
